The Pre-Prep

The Pre-Prep is fully integrated into the Oakwood School community and occupies its own spacious site.

The setting is particularly homely and attractive, the classrooms having been sympathetically converted from a Georgian stable block.

The Pre-Prep is a warm and welcoming part of the school where children enjoy learning as well as making close friendships and gaining in confidence before joining the Upper School.

The children have two spacious playareas, a hard-standing playground with an abundance of play equipment as well as a garden with lots of space for the children to run around in.

Mr McGregor's fruit and vegetable garden provides the children with a fun yet educational experience of growing, cooking and eating their own produce.

There is also a greenhouse which allows the children to learn about how to grow and nurture their own plants.

The Jubilee Garden is a quiet area in the playground, where the children can enjoy the flowers and watch the fish in the pond.

The children in Pre-Prep have dance, P.E., a music lesson and swimming lessons every week throughout the year.
