Oakwood School

The Upper School

Children enter the Upper School at Oakwood at the age of seven (Year 3).

The children in Upper School are carefully prepared for the smooth transition to senior school.

The past 2 years have been the most academically successful in the school's near 100 year history with 40% of Year 6 pupils achieving scholarships and awards to their chosen senior schools. The school also has a record of high achievement in National Curriculum and Senior School entrance tests.

In the Upper School, children have the opportunity to represent the school in sports teams, plays, choirs and instrumental groups, all of which are part of the Oakwood experience.
