Art & DT at Oakwood

Oakwood pupils enjoy an exciting and varied programme of Art & Design Technology. Rock carving, body casting, ceramics, silk painting, Oriental art, kite making and glass etching are just some of the activities that the children experience. 

Visits from local artists and sculptors enhance and extend the children's work, and regular specialist 'Art Workshops' give the children chances to extend their artistic horizons.

The annual Oakwood Art Exhibition, held every summer term, gives every child from Reception upwards a chance to exhibit their chosen piece of work in a prestigious exhibition judged by the world-renowned Pallant House Gallery.
