Introduction to our facilities

Oakwood is superbly equipped, with spacious classrooms, Science Laboratory, Art & Design Technology Studio, Library, Music and Theatre Complex, two ICT Suites, a Gymnasium and Dining Room.

The playing fields extend over nine acres, there is a heated indoor swimming pool (which is used throughout the year), floodlit tennis courts, an all weather multi-sports surface and two adventure playgrounds. There is also a wonderful Woodland Walk which is regularly used for walks, games and outdoor lessons by the whole school. There is a purpose built mountain bike track through the extensive woodland on the site and a grass track for cycling in the summer.

The children have an enormous amount of natural, outdoor space in which to play and run  during break times.

The Nursery has its own garden and covered play area, as well as access to the whole site.

The Pre-Prep have their own hard standing play area, with fabulous new equipment as well as their own enclosed garden which houses Mr McGregor's vegetable and fruit patch and a greenhouse which the children use to grow their own produce. The huge living willow dome provides a magical play area for all kinds of adventures!

The Upper School have an abundance of playing fields to enjoy, as well as a fully equipped adventure playground.
