Friends of Oakwood (FOO)
The FOO at Oakwood School is made up of parents who help organise various fun activities for the children and parents throughout the year. It is not a PTA and does not act as an intermediary between parents and the School.The FOO was formed:
- to foster friendships between the parents, staff, pupils and all those who come into contact with the School
- to promote and support the School
- to enhance the standards of the School's buildings, grounds and equipment through fundraising activities
- to organise fun events that can be enjoyed by pupils, parents and staff
Monthly informal meetings are held in the Library after Friday Assembly. The dates for these meetings can be found in the school calendar, on the website and on the school noticeboard.
Many activities are undertaken each year, the highlight of which is the Summer Bash which is traditionally organised by the Year 2 parents. For a full list of events, please see the School calendar.
